Camvas
Last updated: February 12, 2026
Camvas (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is developed by an independent developer. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Camvas iOS application.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Profile Information: You may optionally set a display username and profile photo within the App. This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Sign in with Apple: If you choose to sign in, Apple provides us with a unique user identifier, and optionally your name and email address (depending on your Apple ID settings). This information is stored locally on your device and in your device’s Keychain.
Information Collected Automatically
- App Version Check: The App contacts the Apple iTunes Lookup API (
itunes.apple.com) solely to check whether a newer version is available. No personal data is sent in this request.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, or behavioral data.
- We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs.
- We do not access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA).
- We do not transmit your photos, images, or any content you create to any external server.
2. Camera and Photo Access
The App requests access to your device’s camera to capture photos. Captured images are processed entirely on your device using Apple’s built-in Vision framework (for foreground segmentation). Photos are stored locally in the App’s sandboxed storage and are never uploaded to external servers.
3. Data Storage
All your data—including archived images, sections, profile information, and preferences—is stored locally on your device using:
- App Group Container: A sandboxed storage area shared between the main App and its extensions (Share Extension, Widget).
- Keychain: Used exclusively to store your Apple Sign-in identifier securely.
